The Shepherd’s Fold in the USA:
Two continents, one family
Jacob explains: “At first I struggled to feed and care for the children, as I lacked faith in the beginning years. But the Lord has provided for us, consoled us and strengthened our faith by introducing another loving family of God that stands by my family, as angels of the Lord, to help bear the burden of each child and to witness the smiles on their faces.”

In 2004, through the internet and God’s grace, Jacob’s family was introduced to an American family who began to send support, love, and prayers. Over time the relationship between these families blossomed and grew. In 2006, one of the founders, an American “Grandmother” suggested naming the extended family “The Shepherd’s Fold”.
As expenses and needs of the ever-growing family of children continued to increase, particularly with respect to housing, the decision was made in 2008 to create a charitable organisation to spread the news of Jacob’s love and help garner additional support for the Shepherd’s Fold in India. Thus was born the Shepherd’s Fold USA, which is now a registered US 501C(3) charity.
As expenses and needs of the ever-growing family of children continued to increase, particularly with respect to housing, the decision was made in 2008 to create a charitable organisation to spread the news of Jacob’s love and help garner additional support for the Shepherd’s Fold in India. Thus was born the Shepherd’s Fold USA, which is now a registered US 501C(3) charity.
As of 2009 there are 28 children who now have a family to call their own - but many more are desperately waiting to join the family.
