How we help
The Shepherd’s Fold USA exists to support the children of the Shepherd’s Fold in Guntur India in the following ways:

·Caring for the children at the home on all levels: physical, educational, spiritual and emotional.
·Providing for caregivers and other workers who help Jacob look after the children. Our goal is to hire other people in need, such as widows, to help in all phases of the daily operations.
·Lending financial support to additional personnel who work in rural areas of India, under the umbrella of the Fold, and who are mentors, chaperones and specialty teachers for the children.

To date, members and supporters of the fold have provided support in many ways including:
·Financial donations
·Donations of clothing, blankets, toys, books and other items for the children
·Donations of equipment and supplies which support the running of the Fold household.

Some of our current needs for the children and outreach program need include:
·Musical instruments such as tamborines, a keyboard, and the native drum. ($500)
·Ongoing cost of food, clothing, medical care and educational supplies

One of the biggest and most important projects we are supporting is the creation of a new permanent home for the children. As they are being evicted from their current rented premises before the new home is completed, we are in urgent need of help to get this project finished. Please visit our blog to read about our progress.

·Outstanding debts related to land purchase ($5,000)
·Overhead tank to pump ground water for storage and to provide drinking water ($2,300)
·Outstanding construction costs ($900)
·Bunk beds; currently children are sleeping on floor mats, where and they are vulnerable to being hurt by insects and harmful creatures ($1200)
·Motorized pump to access groundwater - this is essential ($650)
·Dining room tables and chairs; currently the children eat while sitting on the floor which is unsanitary and uncomfortable, especially in school uniforms. ($2,250)
·Construction of bathrooms, lavatory, septic tank and water system for the children and staff ($2,700)
And now the largest need of all is the funding for the building archetecturally presented above. In accord with government specifications, this building represents a fulfillment of most all the needs for living and schooling. The total estimate by professional standards is $178,500.00 USD.
